What Will You Find?

At Bella Vista Church of Christ, you will find a loving group of people from different backgrounds and in different stages of life all striving together to follow Jesus. We are called Christians or disciples, but more important than what we are called is the understanding of our need for a Savior and our desire to be more like him. This church is an outward manifestation of the deep conviction in our hearts that Christianity is produced today by the same Living Word of God, which produced Christians in the New Testament.

What Do We Seek?

We do not claim perfection as human beings. Our only perfection is found in the fact that we have been forgiven by the blood of Christ as we strive to walk in the Light. We are all sinners saved by grace through faith. Our aim is to constantly deepen our faith and our relationships with both God and our fellow human beings. We seek to glorify God by exalting Christ in our daily walk and teaching and to become more of what God has called us to be. We seek to live out these principles and have an effect on the community around us so that more people will come to know our Lord and King.

What Do We Believe?

WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE TO REVEAL AN ETERNAL GOD WHO SAVES HUMANITY BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST.

"God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:6-10)

WE BELIEVE AS REDEEMED PEOPLE, SAVED BY GOD'S GRACE, WE ARE CALLED TO SUBMIT OUR LIVES TO HIM.

This means we continually and obediently follow what He has asked of us. As we do this, we can be certain and secure in our hope. John writes, "If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continues to cleanse us from all sin." (1 John 1:7)

WE BELIEVE WE ARE CALLED TO BE DISCIPLES TOGETHER.

We believe we are called to be disciples together. We are all working toward the same goal of being more like Jesus. Even though we may be at different stages in our individual journeys, we are called to love, encourage, and help one another in whatever stage we may be. We can and do learn from each other and lean on each other.
