Twelve Life-Changing Words

The theme of our day is one of relationships. There is no escaping this as we listen to the radio and watch television. We face so many barriers in our relationships. Whether it be husband/wife, parent/child, employer/ employee or brother/sister in Christ. There are going to be many times when these twelve words are going to be desperately needed.

I was wrong. How hard it is to admit, yet essential for healing. Just these three words can make a marked difference in our lives. I have sinned is certainly a close second to I was wrong. David said it in Psalm 51.4. As a matter of fact we all must say it. There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7.20. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3.23. No one is without sin.

I am sorry. It seems below the dignity of some to say it. Pride in a marriage causes some to separate and divorce. David knew His sin was ever before Him. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Psalms 51.3. Zaccheus showed His sorrow by repenting of what He had done. Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount. Luke 19.8.

Please forgive me. How hard is it to say these words that can make all the difference? Jesus taught us to pardon or forgive. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you... But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6.12, 14,15.

I love you. Here are the magic words to salvage so many broken relationships. Our God has bent over backwards to show us His love for His creation. Can we not do the same in our relationships? I love you may solve the problems you are currently having.

All of us know the power in language. Ephesians 4.29 says, let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. The twelve words aforementioned can really put a spark back into a dying or dead relationship. When are you going to revolutionize your life?
